Leather Skirt Sewing Pattern
How do I burn patterns into fabric?
I'm making a skirt and I have this piece of leather. I have no paints or anything to bleach it with and have to work with what I have. So, I decided I'd burn (safely, mind you) the words into a shirt, cut the piece from the shirt, then sew it on to the leather, then sew the leather on the skirt. I know it sounds easier than it'll be to do but yeah.
The only idea I've been able to come up with was, one letter at a time, wet the outline and burn the inside, until I have the full word. Does anyone have any better ideas?
I'd just embroider it, but I'm horrible with sewing curves. >.<
You can emboss designs into velvet with rubber stamps if you dampen it & iron the design in or Use a candle its easier.
