Is there a way to recondition a leather jacket?

I have had my leather jacket for about 4 years...it's starting to look a little worn now, particularly at the edges of the seams and pockets and near the zipper...it looks like it's been scratched off or something. Is there a way to make it look better or anything? I don't know anything about leather restorers or cleaners or where to get them...do any large retailers sell them, like Wal-Mart, Target, Macy's, Bon-Ton or anyplace like that? Or would I have to bring it to a place to get renewed? If so, how much would that cost?

Also, is it OK to wear a leather jacket in the rain or does that help to ruin it? I try not to but sometimes I forget.

The cheapest way is to get SADDLE SOAP...Available at tack shops everywhere.

You can also use stuff that reconditions leather Jag seats if you want to spend money....
