Would you recommend a 1988 Volvo 780 Bertone Coupe to a new driver?
This Volvo is beautiful. There are about 5,000 of them in the U.S. and they run for under $2,500.
It has between 106,000-150,000 miles. They are in good condition, one red and the other blue.. one with tan leather and the other with blue leather. The blue one is cheaper and needs a good detailing done on the interior.
I know the rarity of it will make finding parts more difficult, but there are plenty of Volvo service specialists in Los Angeles (Where I live).
How reliable will it be? (I will keep up with the maintenance and keep it pretty.)

The insurance isn't an issue either.
how reliable it is all depends on how good the previous driver maintained the vehicle (prompt oil changes, transmission flush, and other services)and if it's been in any wrecks you wanna be sure it was repaired properly so it reacts as it's supposed to in another wreck, older cars like that tend to have more problems and parts for any of those may be harder to come by
