Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee?
I'm buying a used car, an SUV decided to suit my needs, I have to know the best vehicle is the year of the jeep is 1999, so its medium body style, 4.7 L. The Durango is a 1999 also, I think it has the 5.2 L, but I'm waiting distributor of a response. both are 4x4, trailer, leather, and both are about 120 thousand miles, and $ 4000 I prefer the shifter jeep center and the interior, but I like Durango the largest wheel and seems more robust to do some off-road recreation, nothing crazy, I live in northern Illinois, so deal with snow and ice bad, so that's a factor. NO EXPERIENCE / ENTRY NOT APPRECIATED, Dave is correct, the Jeep is the one with the 4.7, they do have a PowerTech 4.7 liters in 1999, and I than 2000
This is similar vehicles and it seems that both suits your needs. From experience, leaned toward the Durango for 2 simple reasons. # 1 Despite that 4.7 engine is a 5.2L and 5.9L the decline are much more reliable and less expensive to repair if necessary. And the Durango have the most reliable trans 46RE compared 545RFE with the Jeep # 2 We see many strange electrical problems with the Grand Cherokee (not that Durango is NOT have their quirks sometimes). Hope this helps!
